目前深圳市大型港口企业如盐田国际、招商港务、赤湾港航、海星港口、蛇口集装箱、赤湾集装箱码头等均为中外合资企业。目前我们常接触的国际集装箱码头主要有盐田、蛇口、赤湾。其中盐田港含盐田西港区码头，赤湾与妈湾码头连在一起。各码头均有网上电子查询网站，可24小时查询到有关集装箱的实时资料。此外，还设有电子数据交换系统（EDI）和电子报表服务（e-Report），每日定时向船公司传送有关集装箱装卸、堆存等的最新动态。
